TASTE OF FENCING
This is a 2-hour workshop for adults and teens (12 and older). Participants will learn about the history and etiquette of the Olympic sport of fencing. They will practice the basic footwork and blade actions-- both attack and defense. The class will conclude with a "duel" using our state-of-the-art electronic scoring system.
Participants should dress for light athletic activity: tennis shoes and socks, athletic shorts or sweat pants, and a t-shirt. Bring a water bottle or a few dollars to buy a cold beverage.
The "Taste of Fencing" class is a great way to try the sport. It will really give you a good sense of what it is all about. This is also a great class for friends looking to try a new expereince.
